Recognizing the 50th anniversary of her death. Free and open to the public. 17th Street, north of Avenue Q roundabout in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Zora Neale Hurston Birthday Party
The Birthday Party is located at the Hurston Branch Library 3008 Avenue D from Noon - 3 p.m in Fort Pierce Florida. A celebration of her birthday with a cake and cupcakes. The Avenue D Boys Choir and Avenue D Girls Choir will be performing along with other dance troupes. Free and open to the public.
 
February 6, 2010 "Hattitude"
This is a fund-raiser for Zora Fest located at Indian River State College Koblegard Student Union (3209 Virginia Ave, in Fort Pierce, Florida). Please RSVP to this even by calling Linda Henderson at (772) 834-9227. The event cost is $30 per person and the participants must wear a hat to attend.
